For My Rebecca: Day 21

Lies... they are dirty little things told by people to keep an image, concept, or thought alive. But as beautiful as they seem they are much like this tree named the umpas tree. This tree, no matter, how beautiful it may seem, destroys everything around it. What lies do you tell yourself or others in order to keep your christian fire burning (none may be an acceptable answer)?

For My Rebecca: Day 20

Jesus.... what a powerful word. This single word is one that has been used as an excuse for war, killing, and pain. People use this as their reason for why they do horrific things. Do you ever use God as an excuse as for why you can or cannot do something (good  or bad)?

For My Rebecca: Day 19

I just read this book named Jesus Freaks, it was about people who gave up their lives for Christ. What would you give up for Jesus? Here's the hard question, why?

For My Rebecca: Day 18

Today someone told me that I have an option: store your treasure on earth or in heaven for you may not bare both gifts. I think you want to store your's in heaven, but how will you do that? And what is YOUR treasure?

For my Rebecca: Day 17

Today I had a discussion with someone on whether faith and reason can go hand and hand. I explained that they could and he asked if I had reason and logic how could it still be faith. So my question to you is at what point do faith and reason collide? And does having reason and logic mean that believe is no longer faith? Finally, how can you have more faith in God?

For My Rebecca: Day 16

Making the best of what you've got - mmmm Rebecca, it drives me nuts when you say things like that because I was perfectly okay with not making new friends and here you are making me realize that I'm going to fill out the dorm papers dammit I hate paperwork. (I'm a softy for you!) What does it mean to make the best of what you have? Do you have to appreciate everything you have including things that make you suffer? It it ok sometimes just to not like something about your life and not want to try to change it?

Thank you for making me change my mind in yet another 3:00 argument, I need to learn how to put up more of a fight against you.

For My Rebecca: Day 15

Just as a foreword, I wanted to tell you I did not forget about the three days you were on kairos, rather I wish to share them with you at the baseball game so we can have questions to talk about!!!

Today you came back from a trip that changes people. What are the essential elements of changing an individual or guiding the change (other than the person wanting to change)? What pushed you to change and want to stop destructive behavior? Most importantly and the biggest question, what have you changed?

For My Rebecca: Day 11

Today was great. The camp was fun, student were enjoyable, my coteacher was awesome! But  I couldnt stop thinking... "How does this glorify God?" Yes, it was fun, but was it something only something for us? How do we glorify God in our actions?

For my Rebecca: Day 10

In the heavy silence before the crash, I felt the adrenaline flush through my body. Something unlike anything ever before. And I think it was the silence that forced my body to feel like that. It was the uncomfortable factor that comes with silence. We, as humans, hate silence. The issue with this is that we quite often hear God best in silent; the time where we silence our lips and our souls. Do you find silence in your busy life? Do you like silence? I know you hate being home alone, but do you ever take advantage of the silence and notice that you're really not home alone?

For My Rebecca: Day 8

Today was an absolutely awesome day. This week has been awesome because it's been free of guilt. It's pretty amazing how the 'truth' can set you free so to speak; it's amazing how restricting yourself to the right actions is so liberating. So the question that persists, "When everything is going well how do you incorporate a need for God?" Sometimes when all is going well we make up things to be bad, "Do we create problems because complacency, even when all is well, is uncomfortable?"

For My Rebecca: Day 7

Love comes in three forms, may I mention, all of which are boundless?
Most of them with reason, except the last, that’s boundless.

Romanic
The first, the only one that must be exclusive,
is difficult to describe, the feeling quite allusive.
But if I might try I would say its just like magic.
Meant for the brave, for only a true maverick.

Friendship
The next, similar to the first but with a different purpose.
When truly demonstrated, this only leaves you wordless.
Known as a friendship, this relationship is the “lean on me” kind.
This person will act as your cane or your dog if you ever go blind.
This person is next to you when you are sick.
When you’re down they give you a kick.

Family
The last is a like the one between a daddy and his princess.
More than the rest this one is truly never endingly boundless.
Unlimited and groundless.
Forever and doubtless.
Miss beautiful Rebecca, This is the love I feel for you.
I wanted to tell you, because I didn’t know if you knew.
Love is unique.

I hope you know I love you on day 7, and day 70, and day 700, and day 7000, and just to be safe day 70000. Dearly beloved, I can't wait to see thee.

By the way I think a congrats is in order because a week is really really hard to achieve.

For My Rebecca: Day 6

Rebecca, you saved my everlasting life. I don't know if you know the ramifications behind that. You have literally saved me. So here is my question for you today, I know what lead me to Christ... but what lead you to Him? I know this is a hard question, but dig really deep and find out. Don't accept complacency as an answer as to why.

For My Rebecca: Day 5

Mary, the mother of our Lord, was the strongest woman that ever lived. Of course she said yes, Gabriel gave her great news... she was going to be the vessel of the Lord!!! It may be true that she was told an amazing and glorious fact, but with this revelation came an abundance of issues. What would her brothers and sisters say? What would the community think? What would Joseph think?!? She was 16 when God told her that she was the one who would bear the son of the world.

What would you have said? Do you say yes to God's plan?
