Hmmmm what shall I write? God pushes me to write about his unspoken will. I think. It would be so much easier to know what God wanted us to do if he just... well... said it. Why can't he just use his melodious voice and just speak to me? He did it for Moses!!! So here's my question how do you hear God's voice if He doesn't use words?
This is probably one of the most difficult things I struggle with. You put it so perfectly. Especially when things seem to be going all wrong, I wish I could just know what God would want me to do...and take off the stress of making the decision!! In those times I wish I could just know what God's plan is for me and my life and know if everything in whatever the situation is will turn out OK in the end - and what He wants me to do to make it turn out like it should!
ReplyDeleteWhat really makes this hard is we can learn about our faith, but sometimes we can be what Mrs. Smeath calls "spiritually dry" - you know, but you can't FEEL God's presence directly...and I like so much to act on feeling and maybe even instinct ...so this often leads to confusion for me. If that makes any sense.
When God doesn't use direct words (as He often doesn't really seem to do) I guess I just try to pray more (so hard!) and look for opportunities. (Like in Evan Almighty..."If you pray for patience, do you think God gives you patience, or does he give you opportunities to be patient?")
This is such a hard question!! I guess because really, I'm still trying to find the answer.
P.S. Tell me if you got Day 31 today. If you didn't I'll send ya somethin :)
